Terms of Service

1. Who can use Mehtch

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By registering, you confirm that the date of birth you provide is accurate and that you are legally able to enter into these Terms. We remove accounts that appear to belong to minors and may ask for verification if we have reason to doubt an age you've provided.

2. Your account

You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity on your account. One person, one account. Accounts are non-transferable. You may not create a profile impersonating someone else, use another person's photos without their permission, or misrepresent your identity, age, or intentions.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to, on or through Mehtch:

• Harass, threaten, stalk, or abuse another user, including through repeated unwanted contact after being asked to stop.
• Post or send content that is sexually explicit involving minors, non-consensual, hateful, or that promotes violence.
• Solicit money, engage in scams, or promote a business, service, or third-party platform without our permission.
• Attempt to access another user's account, scrape profile data, or reverse-engineer the app.
• Use Mehtch's mutual-rejection or power-up mechanics to systematically target or intimidate a specific person outside their consent.

Enemy Takeover is opt-in and consensual by design; Super Reject and Berserker Mode are gameplay mechanics constrained by the limits described on our Safety page. Using them within those limits is not a violation of these Terms, but using the app to genuinely harass a specific person is, regardless of which feature is involved.

4. Paid plans, consumables, and billing

Mehtch+ and Elite are monthly subscriptions billed in advance in the currency you selected at signup (INR or USD); that currency choice is permanent for your account. Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled from Settings. INR subscriptions are billed via a recurring payment mandate registered with your card issuer at checkout, in line with RBI e-mandate rules, including advance notice before each charge. Cancelling stops future renewals but does not refund the current period, so you keep access until it ends.

Power-ups (Shields, Berserker passes, Super Rejects) are one-time consumable purchases, not subscriptions. Once granted to your account they do not expire unless stated otherwise for that item.

Refunds. All sales are generally final. We may, at our discretion, issue a refund or reverse a purchase where required by law, where a payment was made in error, or where a technical failure on our side prevented delivery of what you paid for. Consumable items that have already been used (e.g., a Super Reject that was sent) are not eligible for refund.

5. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or permanently disable your account for violating these Terms, in response to reports and moderation review, to comply with law, or to protect the safety of our users. Where we can, we'll tell you why. You can delete your account at any time from Settings; deletion removes your profile, photos, and messages as described in our Privacy Policy. Amounts already paid for the current subscription period or for consumables are not refunded on termination for cause.

6. Disclaimers

Mehtch is a platform for people to meet each other; we don't run background checks on users and can't guarantee anyone's identity, intentions, or behavior, on or off the app. Meeting someone from the internet carries inherent risk. See our Safety page for practical guidance. The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Mehtch and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including damages arising from interactions with other users. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.

8. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in the city where Mehtch is registered.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll post the updated version here with a new "last updated" date, and for material changes we'll make a reasonable effort to notify you in-app or by email. Continuing to use Mehtch after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
